
Come to the Virginia Outdoor Sportsmen's Classic for the ultimate archery proving ground. 4th Dimension Archery is putting on an
archery competition for anyone that thinks they've got what it takes. How could there be 4 dimensions you ask? It's simple really, time
plays a big factor in this competition and you won't get away without feeling the heat.
with 4th Dimension Archery the shooter will compete stationary on a stand, while the 11 targets randomly raise and lower. (10 arrows necessary
to compete. Forth Deminsion archery competition is open to participants of all ages. Participants 14 years of age and younger must
have adult supervision.
The Rules:
- A shot on a doe is a shot forfeited. A strike on a doe will result in a loss of 10 points.
- A round consist of 10 qualifying targets. The number of raised targets will vary by competition (i.e: A round may have 15 total targets raised, but only 10 of the 15 targets would be bucks and qualify for a point award).
- A qualifying round must be shot from the provided tree stand platform.
- In the case of a dropped arrow, only arrows landing on the shooting platform may be retrieved. Any dropped arrow landing on the floor or ground is a forfeited shot.
- In the case of equipment failure, a two minute halt to time will be called. During this halt, the competitior must face away from the range while performing equipment repair.
- A participant may compete as many times as he desires, but the competition fee must be paid for each round of play.
Scoring:
- Any strike in the RED zone of a target earns the points assigned to that target.
- Point value is assigned depending on level of difficulty with closer targets having a smaller strike zone and farther targets having a larger strike zone.
- Each round will have a bonus target. This target will be indicated by a smaller ??? kill zone inside of the standard strike area and only strikes landing inside of the bonus kill zone earn the 15 point bonus.
Equipment:
- All players must provide their own equipment. All arrow and bow manufacturers are welcome.
- Fieldpoint tips only; NO Broadheads!
- Players are permitted to enter the field of play with only 10 arrows.
